Thanks for the journey
I have come to a very difficult decision to close my Travel Far Enough business. This has been a long arduous journey to make this decision, as I have worked very hard for 9 years trying to make this into a successful business. But this recent event of COVID-19, has made the decision easier for me.
After ‘crazyland’ (aka COVID-19) is over, hopefully sooner than later , it will be case of starting all over again for my business and many others like it. Only the strongly established will survive. Unfortunately I do not fit into that category.
I don’t see this as quitting. The path I am about to take is in line with what I have been saying all along:
You have to find which path is right for you. Life is short and you need to live your life on purpose.
That sounds cliché, but I DEEPLY believe it’s the truth.
For my travel blogging life, this is where it ends. I will continue to travel. That’s a given, but the travel blogger career is over.
I am pursuing an exciting new direction as a fiction writer. It is what I have wanted to do for a very long time.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me as a travel blogger for the last 9 years. I have enjoyed your stories and your inspiration. This has been a journey that has been an interesting one, a path that was never straight and an endeavour that always had things to teach me. Your support prodded me along when the days were long. I’m glad you were there.
You can still find me on Facebook at Travel Far Enough - I will continue to share insights and sharing life after 'ditching the desk'.
