After 10 months (re) Discovering Australia, I have pulled 18 destinations together that took my breath away. Even as an Aussie, I was astounded at how breathtakingly beautiful Australia was.
After a 10-month road trip through Australia, with many, many nights in Airbnb stays, I’ve stayed in everything from basic to luxury accommodation. I found a haven in each of these Airbnbs. Here are my Top 10 Airbnbs in Australia.
Yeah, Perth seems like a long way to go, especially if you’re in Australia for a short time, but after finally getting there myself after too many years, I can tell you with great certainty: It’s worth going the distance. Perth is what Australia used to be like, the Australia I knew growing up. Lovely, friendly people. Big town atmosphere. Easy to get around. No stress. Easy living. And then there is the amazing history, culture and natural beauty that is all so accessible.
Rottnest Island. The water was turquoise, with patches of a deep cobalt blue where seaweed lay beneath the surface. It was a sight I’d never seen before, despite my extensive travels.
Visiting Rottnest Island is like entering another world. A world where life is a great deal slower and actually enjoyed. Sounds amazing, right?!
