We found ourselves spending the end of March and part of April (2017) housesitting near Bowral, in the Southern Highlands. We were looking after a home that was truly amazing and, after convalescing after a bout of the flu (or pneumonia in my case), we explored the areas. It was stunning. Truly gorgeous with green, rolling hills, cafés on offer everywhere … and then I started to feel old.
Our trip to Cairns was to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. There would be no sponsored experiences, or opportunities. It would be a time to go with the flow and enjoy our surroundings.
Our Wandadian stop was an AirBnb about 15 mins west of the coast. The perfect spot to get some work done and sort out our crap!
While travelling indefinitely, we’re discovering AirBnbs to be invaluable. Not only do they provide space to spread out, constant WiFi and washing facilities, but some offer truly unique stays. For our Aussie 10 month road trip, we’re finding them to be cheaper than holiday parks and hotels! This is definitely the way to go!
Beachcomber was probably the best beach camping location I’ve stayed in. It was exactly what we needed to let go of the Treehouse and all the madness of the prior two weeks. We needed to just ‘be’ for a while. It was so relaxing. We were so drained, exhausted really, but by the time we left, we were refreshed and ready for the next adventure.
Exhausted from the last weeks, we begin our indefinite travel adventure in Canberra, spending the weekend with our daughter. Canberra is always a delight.
